Sadly the Saturday night concert (Deb 8th) has been cancelled. All I know is that it was beyond their control. the Sunday afternoon goes ahead as per the original plan. You may need to be available for the Saturday at some point for a sound check. I will hopefully find out for this Wednesday.

This Sunday (25th Nov) you will need to be here at TLC from about 1.15 for a run through in the annexe. We will do two sets of about 20 minutes or so. These will probably be at 2pm and 2.45pm but this will be flexible.

I know it seems a way off but Christmas is fast approaching so I thought I would confirm what performances we have planned. I will mark these on the calendar as well.

Sunday, November 25th – The ‘At Home’ event here at The Laura Centre. As far as I know, it will run from 2 until 4 and we will sing two sets. The songs will mostly be from last year but we will also include Christmas Lullaby and Fields of Gold.

Saturday 8th December (evening) – Guest Choir at Musical Village Christmas concert. NB although this is an evening performance we will need to be there in the afternoon for a rehearsal. The time has not been confirmed yet but I would expect it to be from about 3pm

Sunday 9th December (afternoon) – This is a repeat of the Saturday concert.

I am expecting us to sing 3 or 4 songs on our own and then we will be joining in with Musical Village for a couple of numbers.

I am also trying to arrange a Christmas visit to South Lodge. This usually has to be on a Sunday afternoon but I will confirm date and time once I have spoken with them.

If you are already a member you please use this system to register as well. If you prefer to use paper and pen there will be registration forms available at all rehearsals. As we rehearse on the charities premises it is important that we have all contact information registered so your understanding and patience is appreciated.

Our last rehearsal for this term was last night so the next rehearsal will be on Aug 15th at 6.30 – all welcome. We now make a small subscription charge of £3 per week.

Hi. A quick update for Saturday. The running list is as per our discussion at the las rehearsal. The full address for the church  is Church Hill, Scraptoft, Leicester LE7 9SN. If you use this address you will see where everything is going on when you get there. I should be able to get away from the Little Theatre by about 1.30ish and it is about a 20-minute drive so, allowing time for parking etc I should be there by about 2pm. This means that we will be performing as soon as I get there so try and warm your voice up before that time. You can do it in the car on the way to the church. In any case, we are singing Bella Momma. The second set will be about 3pm. Dress is smart casual (no blacks unless you want to) ladies to wear your scarves. I know Richard can’t make it but, as far as I know, the rest of you are OK. If you cannot make it can you let me know please either by text or via the Facebook group page. See you Saturday.

I have just added the music files for Candle on the Water. Excuse the voice but I was a bit croaky when we recorded these.

HI. If you would like to be involved in a community choir then why not pop along to TLC Voices. Don’t worry about good (or bad) you may think you are, that’s our problem. All abilities welcome (over 16’s only). We rehearse every Wednesday here at The Laura Centre from 6.30pm ’til 8.00pm. We sing all types of music from show stoppers to classics. For instance, our intrepid choir has just nailed a medley from The Sound of Music and are currently learning an acapella version of Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. Currently, we are rehearsing for The Laura Centre Memorial Service so if you would like to be part of that very special occasion then come along and join us. We look forward to seeing you.
